Hi there! I’m Justin, co-founder of Power Up Rack. Being an outdoor experience loving family with four kids, we have accumulated a lot of "stuff." Our garage became a storage shed filled with bikes, skis, snowboards, paddleboards, kayaks, golf clubs, etc. plus the bins and boxes of regular periodically needed items (how many boxes of Christmas decorations does one woman really need?) We needed a simple way to safely store a bunch of stuff out of the way and still be able to get to it quickly and easily.

Stationary ceiling storage racks have given us some of the additional storage space we needed, but carrying boxes and bins up and down a ladder is unpleasant and painful and can be down right dangerous. Climbing up a ladder with the aforementioned decorations has put me in a precarious situation many times. It's hard to make "I fell off a ladder with my Christmas tree" sound like a cool battle injury. And what about all these bikes? They take up a lot of space.

That’s when my wife Natalie and I decided to create our remote controlled motorized storage racks. Loading our ceiling storage racks with our feet on the ground and then raising them to the ceiling with the simple push of a button, solved our storage dilemma. Securing our gear at ceiling level and out of reach provides several benefits; added theft protection, opening a large amount of floor space once occupied by the bins, bikes and golf clubs, easily lifting a bike to a comfortable height to work on, etc.  Having made a considerable investment over the years in bikes, outdoor toys and gear, decorations, tools, supplies, etc. it is comforting to have the added security and peace of mind that our gear will be safely out of reach and ready to go on our next adventure. 

 We’ve experienced firsthand how much better life can be when everything has its place out of the way and yet we can easily grab it in a quick minute.
